Vegetarian Tomato Chilla is a type of Indian crepe or pancake that is made using a batter of gram flour (besan) mixed with grated tomatoes, onions, and spices. The batter is then poured onto a hot skillet and cooked until set, similar to a traditional crepe or pancake. This dish is usually vegan and can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free gram flour. Tomato, being a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Vitamin A, is a healthy addition to the dish. The addition of vegetables like onions, bell peppers or spinach can also add more vitamins and minerals. Vegetarian Tomato Chilla can be served as a breakfast or brunch dish, and is typically served with chutney or yogurt for added flavor. It can also be enjoyed as a wrap with a filling of your choice. It is a tasty and healthy option for those looking for a vegetarian alternative to the traditional Indian crepe or pancake.
